Dr. Kressly Retiring!

Dr. Kressly wants everyone to know that she will be retiring from clinical practice in mid August. "It has been a distinct privilege and pleasure to provide care for our community for over 30 years." Read her letter to patients that was sent via email.

Dear Kressly Pediatrics family,

The team at Kressly Pediatrics hopes this message finds you safe and well during this challenging time. We have been inspired by your ability to balance competing needs, stay virtually connected and work/play together while respecting social distancing. Thank you for all of your efforts to keep our community safe!

I wanted to personally reach out to let you know that I’ll be retiring from clinical practice in mid August. It has been a distinct privilege and pleasure to provide care for our community for over 30 years. Having the opportunity to be part of your family, join the journey of many of your children’s lives, and be a small part of their growth and development has been the most rewarding part of my career. As parents, some of you were personally my patient and have given me the highest compliment by entrusting your own children to be part of our medical home.

After having been in pediatric practice for 15 years, Kressly Pediatrics was started in 2004 as a dream to create a true medical home for patients and families where we could partner  to provide great care and develop meaningful relationships. The practice has succeeded beyond my wildest dreams and I have you and an awesome team to thank for that.

Rest assured, the practice will continue to thrive beyond my retirement. Drs. David, Mahoney and Sowkinski are committed to taking our medical home into the future with the same principles of high quality care, personal relationships, use of technology and family-centered focus. They will continue to innovate and work with our patient community to grow into the future.

Looking toward the future, we are also excited to announce that in September, Dr. Meredith Menz will be joining our team. Please look for an upcoming message from Dr. Menz.

As many of you are aware, for the past several years in addition to clinical practice I have served in leadership roles with the American Academy of Pediatrics as well as the medical director for Office Practicum, the electronic health record software that we use in our practice. I will continue to be active in both of those capacities through the next several years, spending as much time at the beach in Sea Isle and Sanibel as possible.

Thanks for your support over the span of my pediatric care. I will be seeing well visits through mid August. I hope to be able to see many of you over the next few months. If not, virtual hugs and big thanks for making my career incredibly rewarding.

Wishing you all good health and much happiness,

Sue Kressly
